New Year, New Mistakes

Happy Sunday all!

New Year New Me?

Not likely.

2018 has already brought about a lot of changes – both myself and my partner have new jobs (real, adult jobs), I have some really exciting teaching and yoga opportunities on the horizon, and I have a renewed sense of energy to keep learning more and more.

So what's happening?

I changed my Instagram aesthetic (that's a change as of today), I've started calligraphy and lettering, and I have a new yoga class that I teach full of kids aged 8-12. More on that in another blog post.

I've started working with an amazing mat company – Warrior Mats – they're designed and owned by some insanely talented Vancouver artists and residents, and honestly I'm just thrilled to be a part of it. Being able to watch something grow from the ground up is so exciting, and I know that there will be some really great things to come.

Speaking of growing from the ground up is particularly significant as we begin this new year. As 2018 begins, I've tried to set intentions and goals for the year. Most of them are related to my own personal growth – bringing lunch and breakfast to work to save money so I can save for a new laptop (and eventually maybe a car or moped), be assertive in my goals and desires when appropriate, and listening to my body and its needs are just some of the mini-intentions I've set.

Of course, these have already gone off the rails a few times – but that's really what goals and intentions are for. You have to adjust and be flexible to suit your goals to your current mindset and adapt to any sudden changes.

One final goal I have is to keep up with this blog. I don't know.

Do you have goals for the year? Tips for keeping goals? Calligraphy tips? Leave a comment, or send me a message!

Happy Sunday!
